Mission Statement
We, The Community of Holy Rosary and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, are a diverse and welcoming family of Christians worshiping in an African-American and traditional style.

Led by the Holy Spirit, we serve God by proclaiming and living the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in word and action: evangelizing, ministering to those in need, nourishing the shared faith, hope, and love for which we are created as children of God.

Description
The Community of Holy Rosary & St. John the Evangelist is a center city, Roman Catholic Church with a focus on social outreach. Some of the ministries of the church include:

• a Gospel Choir at the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass
• a youth ministry
• a senior ministry
• a food pantry
• a Mt. Carmel Health Station with a sliding fee scale
• the oldest Martin Luther King Day service in the city
• the St. John Center, a former school, now a community center that houses related organizations that grew out of the parish - these related organizations provide hot meals, clothing, and adult education to those in need
